Maintaining Career Clinical Ladder Level II: 

Maintaining your CCL level is completed during the performance appraisal with your one up leader. Please note that all documents are provided to leader completing the appraisal and uploaded into oracle. Nurses reporting to non-nurse leaders have a dotted line to a nurse leader that will collaborate with the non-nurse leader to complete a portion of the performance appraisal.

Annually, during the Performance Appraisal, CCL Level II team members have the option to maintain their current level. In order to maintain, they must have: 

  • Completed Self Evaluation 
  • Feedback from 3 Peer Reviewers: two self-selected and 1 manager selected (RNs must have RN peer feedback) 
  • Completed Manager Evaluation 
  • Must consistently demonstrate APSIRE Values 

Maintaining Career Clinical Ladder Level III - V:

To maintain CCL level III - V, this process also occurs annually during the Performance Appraisal. In addition to having: 

  • Completed Self Evaluation 
  • Feedback from 3 Peer Reviewers: two self-selected and 1 manager selected (RNs must have RN peer feedback) 
  • Completed Manager Evaluation 
  • Must consistently demonstrate APSIRE Values 
  • Complete Clinical Ladder evaluation document and attach this to your Performance Appraisal in Oracle

You must also provide documentation of eligibility requirements to your manager (one up leader):

  • Specialty professional board certification 
  • Resume / CV
  • Professional organization membership 
  • BSN or enrolled in BSN program for CCL level III 
  • BSN is required for CCL IV & V 
  • CCL Course completion document 
  • Council/Committee participation for (if applicable)
